Dear Class of 2030 and incoming transfer students, 
The countdown is officially on! We鈥痗an鈥檛 wait鈥痶o see you on campus.
鈥學hether you are scheduled to arrive on Thursday, Sept. 3, or Sunday, Sept. 6, please follow the instructions below for moving into your residence hall. (London students, international students, and student-athletes, please refer to information from your program coordinators.)
鈥孯ain or shine, it will be a big day with big emotions as we welcome more than 1,000 guests and students to campus. We recommend comfortable shoes, a reusable water bottle, deep breaths, and lots of hugs. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that your entire鈥痵upport community 鈥� FYE, Student Affairs, Campus Safety, Residential Life, coaches, professors, and more 鈥� will be here to support you, and you鈥檙e in鈥痝reat hands.

step 1: Come to campus!
Use the main entrance at 815 North Broadway. Please do not use the Clinton Street entrance, even if your navigation app directs you there. Entering from North Broadway is important to the move-in traffic flow and helps ensure other essential campus operations can continue.
- Pre-Orientation move-in, Thursday, Sept. 3
- Off-campus programs: 8:30鈥�10 a.m.
- On-campus programs: 9:30鈥�11 a.m.
- New Student Orientation move-in, Sunday, Sept. 6
- 8:30鈥�11:30 a.m.
step 2: Check in
At this stop you will:
- Follow signs/volunteers to Arthur Zankel Music Center (no parking here; quick materials hand-off only).
- Show an accepted government-issued ID to receive your 撸短视频 ID Card. If you did not submit a photo in advance, you will need to go to the Card Office in Starbuck Center before moving into your residence hall.
- While you wait, log in to skidmore.okta.com 鈫� Residential Life Housing Portal 鈫� 鈥淓xpress Check-In鈥� and follow the prompts. This will activate your card as a building and room key. Staff will be available at your residence hall if you have any issues.
STEP 3: Move in
At this stop you will:
- Follow signs to your residence hall. Traffic will move clockwise around campus with
South Quad halls coming up first (Wiecking, McClellan, Penfield, Kimball, Wilmarth)
followed by North Quad halls (Jonsson Tower, Wait Hall, Howe-Rounds Hall). At your
residence hall, you will:
- Be guided to drop-off zones.
- Unload all items, move your car to West Lot or Palamountain Lot (Skids鈥� Squad volunteers will guide you), then settle in.
- 鈥孧eet your Residence Hall Advisor (RA).
STEP 4: Watch the clock
- On Thursday, off-campus Pre-Orientation programs must be at Porter Plaza (parking lot side of Case Center) by 12:30 p.m., and on-campus programs must be in The Spa (lower level of Case Center) by 1 p.m.
- On Sunday, please be on Case Green by 1:30 p.m. to meet with your Scribner Seminar and Peer Mentor and begin Orientation.
- Lunch in Murray-Aikins Dining Hall is available from 11 a.m.鈥�1 p.m. on both days.
Move-in Day programming

Pre-Orientation, Sept 3
- 8:30鈥�10 a.m.: Off-campus programs arrivals
- 9:30鈥�11 a.m.: On-campus programs arrivals
- 11 a.m.鈥�1 p.m.: Complimentary lunch for all, Murray-Aikins Dining Hall
- To reduce congestion, we recommend students attending off campus Pre-O and their families arrive for lunch 11鈥�11:30 a.m., and students attending on-campus Pre-O and their families arrive for lunch 11:30 a.m.鈥揘oon.
- Last hugs and goodbyes 馃挌 We recommend saying goodbye after lunch, before students meet with program leaders.
- 12:30 p.m.: Off-campus programs check-in with program leaders and depart, Porter Plaza
- 1 p.m.: 鈥�On-campus programs check-in with program leaders and depart, The Spa
- 1:30鈥�2:45 p.m.: Family Orientation (optional), Zankel Music Center

- Commuting students: We recommend you join us for lunch by 12:30 p.m. before meeting with your Scribner Seminar at 1:30 p.m.
- 1:30 p.m.: All first-year students meet with their Scribner Seminars to begin Orientation, Case Green
- 1:30鈥�3:30 p.m.: Transfer Orientation, Wyckoff Center in Case Center, additional details provided upon arrival
- 1:30鈥�2:45 p.m.: Family Orientation (optional), Zankel Music Center
- 3鈥�4 p.m.: Family Reception with President Conner (optional), Scribner House
- 5:30 p.m.:
- First-year student dinner, Murray-Aikins Dining Hall main floor

additional notes and tips
Arrival times: Please do not arrive before 8:30 a.m. If you arrive early, you will be redirected to wait until the move-in team is ready.
Entrance: Please do not use the Clinton Street entrance. Your maps app may direct you here, but it鈥檚 essential to the check-in flow that you enter campus from 815 North Broadway.
Reusable water bottles: To reduce single-use plastic waste, we ask guests to bring a reusable water bottle and take advantage of water filling stations around campus.
Maps: Review the move-in map and
Shopping: Avoid off-campus errands as it鈥檚 unlikely you will have time. If necessary, try curbside pickup or visit the 撸短视频 Shop (open 9 a.m.鈥�4 p.m. on both move-in days).
Dining: Students with dietary restrictions and/or food allergies, please contact Dining Services.
Convocation: New Student Convocation is Tuesday, Sept. 8. Students, faculty, and staff attend. The ceremony will be livestreamed beginning around 10 a.m. on the 撸短视频 website for families and friends.
